Missing Gram

Maddi and Gram got to be the best of friends while Gram was here. When Gram left I don't think Maddi quite understood. She keeps asking about Gram and answers herself that Gram is in IL and she always says she's at Misty's house. She still refers to the room Gram stayed in as Gram's room, and she wants to watch Gram's TV. Yesterday we were in the bathroom and Maddi opened up the cabinet Gram's stuff was in and she got really sad and said "Where's Gram brush and her lotion?" I told her Gram had to go home and she puckered up her lip and said "But Why?" It broke my heart! Today when we got home from taking the kids to school Maddi said "Is Gram home Mom?" I guess she was expecting Gram to be waiting in the house for us!
