When the kids were on spring break we took them to Tombstone Arizona. It was beautiful ride south. Since we have lived here James (Big James) has always wanted to go there. Right here in our rinky dink town there used to be a little "town" where a fight would take place. Unfortunately the people that ran it didn't make enough money here so moved north to the bigger cities. I took the kids once and they loved it. All except Maddi because at the time she was a baby and the "gun shots" were too loud for her. We thought for sure that the kids would love Tombstone. When we told them we were going they didn't seem too thrilled. They warmed up to the idea and eventually were very excited to go. They had a blast while we were there also. It was a FULL day of walking and we were all wiped out but it sure was worth it. We went on a guided walking tour when we first got there. It was informing but the guy leading it was, to our disappointment, was from New York. We also toured the old court house, the bird cage, the kids shot some guns, we went through the shops and we toured an old silver mine. We missed the gun fight at the OK Corral but did get to see a bit of action on the street. Tombstone was definitely a tourist town and was a bit on the pricey side but we all had a blast and created memories we will have forever!
