Cowtown Boots

Saturday we went down to Tucson to Sam's club for our yearly stock up shopping. On the way down we stopped into the Cowtown Boot store and got the kids some cowboy boots. The boys also got a cowboy hat. Laura already has boots and a hat so she got a snazzy belt. It took the boys forever to find boots that they liked the look and feel of. Little Man kept saying every pair he tried on was slanted. His old boots were so wore down and flat he didn't realize that cowboy boots are slanted. Kenni really wanted a pair that was "ostrich" because they were kind of orange but they were too big on him. Thank goodness too because I thought they were UGLY! Kenni ended up with a pair that are "snakeskin" so not that much better than ostrich but not as bright. Maddi had a hard time finding some too. She kept wanting a pair that was in the baby sizes. She went back and forth between two pair and ended up with a brown pair. They all look really cool!
After boots it was on to Sam's Club. After several hours of shopping there we were finally on our way home. Of course we were all starving. We were driving along looking for the way back to the freeway and also something to eat. I was also just site seeing because that is what I love to do. All of a sudden James Sr. yells out Jimmy John's and pulls into the parking lot. Jimmy John's for those of you who don't know is the best sub shop in the world. We had one by where we used to live in IL and ate there frequently. I knew that there were a couple in Tucson but what are the chances of us just passing one by? So of course we had to eat there and it was wonderful! Laura was very excited also because she actually remembers eating there and she ended up eating her whole sandwich and the other 1/2 of Maddi's!
