It's Raining, It's Pouring....

AZ City is flooding! Monsoon 2010 has definitely arrived! Thursday the weather man forecasted it to rain but not before 5pm. Well about 1:30 the rain came down in buckets! A lot of the surrounding areas got terrible wind (60-70 mph) but we only got rain. The kids were scared because of the thunder and usually when the monsoon hits we loose power. They all went and found their flash lights but I went out under the front porch and watched it rain! I was always scared as a kid, even as an adult in IL, of storms but since we've been here I just love the storms. Once the kids saw I was okay they came out with me and we just sat and watched it rain! That night I was woke up in the middle of the night because it was raining again. Friday was pretty quite but again I was woke up from my sleep friday night from rain. When I got up this morning our whole backyard was underwater and our pool is VERY FULL! This afternoon we headed up to see James' Uncle and it took us a half an hour to get out of AZ City because there was no way to go that wasn't flooded! We even saw kids tubing down the road! By the time we got home this evening the water had mostly receded but there is still a lot of water in the streets. Now everything is a muddy mess but we sure do welcome the rain anytime we can get it!
