Bindi

Well we have officially became a traditional Ozbirn household! Last night James brought home another kitten. Bindi is her name. As long as I have known James (which has been since I was in 8th grade) his family has been huge cat lovers. It seemed like Doug always had a new litter of kittens in the garage. The family always tells stories of how the generations always had a bunch of cats running around too. James always says you could get his Dad a lion and he could probably tame it. I'm not much of a cat lover but Laura has inherited the trait. She would be lost without her cats.

Bindi came from Greg and Laurel's latest litter of kittens. When Bindi was born her tail got broke so had to be partly amputated. We called her stump when she was born but that wasn't much of a girls name. We got the name Bindi from the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. His daughter's name is Bindi.

So far Bindi has been really good. She is full of spunk and energy and isn't afraid of much. Blu has kind of been out of sight since James brought Bindi home. He comes around, all puffed up, to check things out a bit but then away he goes. Last night he slept on the top bunk bed because he's the only cat that can get up there. Gomez sniffed her at first then disappeared for a while. He'll come out and hiss at her but he is very curious about her. He wasn't too happy last night because Bindi slept in Laura's room and that's his spot! Usually right on Laura's pillow.
The kids of course love Bindi! Maddi won't leave her alone and is very loving! Bindi doesn't seem to mind though. Laura was up late last night because she kept checking on her. Gucker has been sort of on and off playing with her. Kenni had been sick so he is supposed to be laying on the couch but I find him on the floor a lot playing with her.
