Butter Bear Scotch Brownies

Last week in the mail I got a surprise package from Misty. It was my cookbook that I had when I was 8 years old. It is called 'My Best Cookie Book Ever' and I got it from the school book fair. Since Laura is almost 8 years old herself I gave it to her. For days all she could talk about is making something out of the cookbook. So sunday afternoon that is what we did. We made Butter Bear Scotch Brownies. It's not really what she wanted to make but it is what we had all the ingredients for. The boys were upset because they wanted to help too and Laura was upset because she wanted to do it herself. So I ended up letting te boys help but Laura did most of the work. They turned out pretty good but we all agreed we would rather have chocolate brownies!
